Hey guys!
What a beautiful day in Cape May today!
This morning, we had an open boat crew aboard with JD, Ken, Ed, Otto, Tony, and Dan. Seas were flat calm with a slight SE wind increasing late morning. The sun was bright, and fishing was good! What started out as a slow pick escalated into pandemonium with non-stop action on bass from 20" to 20lbs! Everyone caught a lot of bass, with Ed getting honors for high hook on quality fish and also the biggest of the day...

JD was whacking them good, too!

Dan had a hot hand, and also got a real nice fish to take home...

At the end of the day, the guys had caught about 50 stripers, putting 8 nice fish in the box! Great job, guys!

In the afternoon, we headed back out into a stiff SE wind with Joe, Rich, Mark, Sean, Wayne, and Jonathan. We returned to the same area from the morning to find the fish that were stacked up in the morning had thinned out, leaving us with a slow pick of mostly smaller bass along with 1 keeper that Sean put in the box, busting his striper cherry. Way to go Sean! We picked up and made a move and on the way ran over pay dirt. We got set up and within minutes Joe C was on, and everyone got in on the action which was very good at times with all rods in the water bending over simultaneously! Mark Horn hooked up after getting a weird bite, and boated the first keeper fluke of the year at 17.25"! :) Don't worry, it was released. We left them biting and steamed for home after a great afternoon of striper fishing with the guys putting another 8 fish in the box and another 25 or so, as well! Thanks guys!
