Can anybody provide me a good source for fresh clams in CM. We fish up in Monmouth County but thinking of a trailer trip to CM tomorrow and paying somebody a ramp fee...... usually trailer to Sandy Hook but it's not as hot as it will be in two weeks and Father in law from SC is here this Weekend. Sunday's its gonna be howling
I have never fished CM before so if somebody wants to PM me a tip that would be appreciated... else I'll follow the boats......

NW winds 10 to 15 kt...becoming W 5 to 10 kt in the afternoon. Seas 2 to 3 ft in the morning...then 1 foot or less.
High tide at the ferry terminal is around 7:45 am. With the forcasted winds From the NW you should be in decent shape during the ebb. Look for some flats near by a deep water edge. get out a map of the DE bay tonight and start charting some of those area's. Look for signs of life on the FF. Water dept in the flats between 10 to 15 feet. Bigger fish may be caught in deeper water but more action in the shallower with still the opportunity for the large. Do your self a favor and do not follow the fleet, you will be much better off by your self. Snag a bunker or two if you have the chance and throw him right back down there. With the NE'er bearing down on us you should have a great day. Good luck and be sure to report back.

Or you could go to a barn advertiser like Girls Place, Capt Tates, Sterling Harbor, No Bones, or even Off The Hook:D

I fish the south end of the state about 12 times a year and I find that the clams down there are not as fresh as up here. I always bring my own clams from rt 36. That's my two cents.
I was down at breeze e lee yesterday and the boat ramp is still blocked off. I always get fresh clams at Jims Bait & Tackle. :)
