We were out Friday and man oh man was the wind whipping, 25 kt gusts my butt! More like a steady 25 knots with 2-4 swells. We got spray & water everytime I put her on plane and all my buds got a kick out of watching me face foward spitting out water and shaking my head just so I could see where I was driving the boat, it was a frigging blast :D and reminded me of my Navy days. Thank goodness for the unsinkable legend, the Boston Whaler Outrage. They had the smarts to pull their hoods up and face rear whenever I moved the boat. Not a wasted trip, still managed to land 4 with one over 30", others were in the 20" range. Wind made for a very cold but memorable spring striper day on the water. In fact, I think we might have been the only ones out after a while, other than a test group from Aberdean(?). They had some kind of test boat that was plowing through the swells while two boats chased it around, couldn't tell what it was becasue it was throwing up so much spray.

Nice fish Ed!:) Nice talkin' to ya at the ramp @ stemmer's today. I had the Nissan w/ the Carolina skiff. We had a slow day, maybe next weekend we'll get'um!

dixie, nice meeting you. Lots of guys had slow days. We had some long periods of sloooow, just being out there all day and staying after 'em paid off. They gotta eat sometime.
