Hey guys!
What an exceptional day of fishing today!
This morning, JP, John, Rob, Ryan, and Nick were aboard for their striper charter. What a great group of guys! Dawn broke with light winds, fairly calm seas, decent temps in the lower 40's, and a fishy feeling in the air. We got started in an area we haven't fished yet this season, and it was LOADED. As we were saying all day, 'it's solid them' when looking at the scope! :) Nick got the party started and it was a free for all throughout the trip with insane flurries of action and everyone hooked up simulataneously. At times, the cockpit floor was littered with fish and there wasn't a moment to spare for me to put them in the box. We started fishing around 7:45am, and our limit was in the box for everyone shortly after 9am and we went to catch and release mode for the rest of the trip. The last two hours of the tide was absolute insanity with every bait getting bombed as soon as they hit bottom. As Nick put it, 'THIS IS STRIPERPALOOZA!' :D Just before we fired up the motors, Ryan hooked a good fish on the smallest spinning rod on the boat. Turns out, this ended up being our first BLACK DRUM of the season. His arms were spent, so he asked if we could photo it laying on the deck with him next to it. :)

After a CRAZY morning of striper fishing, the guys boated over 100 bass and 1 black drum, easily keeping their limit and releasing a lot of other keeper fish. Great day, guys! It was a blast fishing with you. The group sent me more pics, and I will get them posted as soon as I can.

This afternoon, we returned to the fishing grounds with another great group of guys including Ryan, Mike, his 7 yr old son Dan, Steve, Denny, and Bob. The fish weren't on our morning spot nearly as good, so we made a short wiggle before setting up, and it didn't take long for Mike to hook the first, and second, and third fish...his first was a short, but his second was a healthy 37.5" fish. The bite didn't light up right away, but took a bit to get going. Just as I was saying we may make a move, the fish decided to light up and rods were bending around the boat. Mike's 7 yr old son Dan got his first bass ever...a short...and quickly followed it up with a nice 34" fish!

We had a very good mix of keeper and schoolie fish, and at the end of the day everyone caught a bunch of bass and the boat totaled around 50 bass with everyone's limit going in the box with fish to 37.5"! GREAT job, guys!

When everything was said and done today, over 150 stripers hit the deck with ~35 keepers! GREAT day!
Thanks everyone! We hope to be back on them on Wednesday after this big blow!
