Headed out this morning with my buddy Ryan at about 10am. We launched at Trenton and headed north toward the marina. There were about 15 other boats already on the water, all catching herring, sometimes two at a time. Needless to say, they are here!!! By 10:30, Ryan and I had 40 herring and proceeded to head up to the bridges. I wanted to hit a honey hole of mine, so we tried it first. No sooner did Ryan's herring hit the water, then WHAM...line was screaming before I could even get my herring rigged to throw! It ended up being a nice 27" bass. We caught 3 more, all between 26" and 29" before we headed further up river with the rising tide. We wound up catching a total of 11 stripers with the largest being just over 36" and hitting the 20 lb mark. It truly was a great day!
