Went out with creg to live line some Herring for bass and this decided to eat one. We did get a few Bass also.

biggest, when i lived in ohio for about year, yak, yak

the only thing decent to eat was a walleye.

my experience with the mid america fresh water fish is that they didn't have sweetness of the salt water fish, yet again, fresh tuna in ohio nope

couldn't hold a candle to tog, striper, or sea bass et al

Walleye is good eating. Additionally, it is a great freshwater fish. I spent my teen years living in a small town in Ohio; on the PA border and fishing the pymatuning resovoir and lake erie. They are a great white meat fish. There is a trick to cleaning them though. Filet it like you would any fish. But before you take the skin off at the tip fo the tail you will notice where the bones end. Cut at a 45degree angle on both sides toward the bone line, then gently pull it up out of the meat like a zipper. To me, Walleye is the striper of fresh water. Guys, if you catch more, cut out the cheeks and save them...............Good eating when you get enough, batter and fry..........Sweat. :D

I have caught Walleye on Lake Erie many years ago. It is an outstanding white meat fish. Try it with Kielbasy on a roll and have Polish surf and turf....Gene
