So how does everyone else chum clam bellies? Is it best to thaw it out, mix it with water, then ladel it out from time to time? What I have been doing is I have a weighted down 3 gallon bucket that I drilled about 15 1/2" holes and 2 2" holes in. I then take the bucket of frozen clam bellies and dump it in to my bucket, then lower it off the side of the boat to the bottom. over time it thaws out and is released. If it is slow I pull up on the bucket which forces a little more chum out.

I use a chum pot on the bottom. Every so often i give the string a few good jerks to stir up the pot. Once the pot melts to about half full i refill.
