I try to fish the Raritan by boat and surf. I fish clams on the beach but have no clue how to or when and where to fish from my boat. I have a 22' I/O. Any thoughts are welcome and appreciated.:D

welcome to the barn.good luck this year,i will tell you a couple of tips i learned.use your fish finder not only for fishing that day but to check the bottom for future use.the barn members cant tell there spots where they fish, but you can get friendly with people at your marina and exchange spots.also move around find new loactions.last year i had good luck with clum logs for stripers, you need to get there early and find a spot where no one cuts your clum slick.my brother and i had one log on each side of the boat.the slick will go for miles and draw in tons of fish.we only do it during the week because of weekend traffic.also when you start to pick up flounder mark the fish finder by using the mob nob.i hope this helps some, the more time you put into this sport the more you learn.good luck.
