Stripers in Maine?

Heading to Mt Desert Island, Maine for vacation in August. I heard thats primetime for stripers up there. Anyone have charter recs or experiences to share?

The Kennebec River is hot late August early September livelining tinker mackeral. I have only fished for them in Southern Maine. You will be much further North. Hit up Capt. Kobey Treadwell from Bluewater Sportfishing...he is from Maine. I'm sure he has some suggestions for ya. ;)

I will be headed up to Penobscot bay in the middle of June. I'll let you know whats going on there. Last year my brother got them pretty good with the fly rod right from the rocks about 20 ft from his cottage.
