 BarryTheBass...Guided Len From Square Circle Fame to the shores of the Delaware River from the Jersey side...
Using Bloodworms ...Shimano 4500,spinning/Baitrunners and The fish finder rigs with Sputnick Weights and Circle Hooks...
Well,a different view from positioning a boat or kayak...I am a Bankside Fishermen.I have found some stretches of Bank with rocky structure and deep holes.Caught the in-coming tide around 1:00 and Within minutes Lenny was Hooked up ...Fighting "A COW!"...Then another!:D
Lenny is a Tremendous sporstsmen and has fished for years, and he claimed that today he Hooked up with two of His Largest stripers ever!
They Tanked BTB's LargeMouth Bass Scales...And measured over a couple feet! I would say in the 25 to 30 lb.range all day long.
Len also caught a couple nice White Perch and a Beautiful Catfish.
BarryThe Guppy Boy Wrangled in his first Short and Spazed during a stunning development when another Cow of a striper picked up my Bait and went screaming away.My first initial reaction, being a Bass Fishermen, was to set the Hook, failing to remember I was using a Baitrunner:o ...Standing in the middle of a Gigantic Bird's Nest I learned quickly not to over react and My A-Game is Back...Leaving the Three hour trip with one final cast and a nice shorty of a Striper.
I feel that the Striper Takes a rest near the southern Side of the Tacony before heading northward towards Burlington and Trenton where many Big Striper are secretivley caught each and every spring.
Nice Job Lenny! Hopefully Len gets these Marvelous striper pictures posted this evening.
Thanks for taking a word of advice on finding the fish along with BarryTheGuppy Boy!
Way to "Catch Em Up Len!"
Tight lines!
