stripers and mackeral chunks

i used clams and mackeral chunks the last couple ofdays and all i got was blues, i like the action but will striper take mackeral as well. thanks

I've caught several stripers off the beach surf fishing w/ mackeral strips. The mackeral should be fresh if you can get it. Bluefish don't seem to care but the bass are a littlemore finicky.
