    Default Late Sea Bass Report

Fished Friday Feb 29 with Capt. Tim on the Bodacious. Awesome trip, great weather, calm seas and alot of beer. That's why my report is late. It took me until today to find my camera. 16 guys on the boat and we caught a lot of fish. Between me and the three friends that shared the same totoes, we caught our limit of good size Sea Bass.

Not bad! The boat was chartered by all friends of mine. Some guys didn't fair as well so we thru our fish in the mix and divided up equally.

The rig of day was a blue/silver 16oz Shimano Butterfly jig tipped with clam. Until I lost that $30 jig to the bottom of the Atlantic

That's cool you were genorous enough to split it up. Man jigging must have been a blast.

Hey Bob, here's a real good recipe if your interested. I've used it on Tog aswell as Triggerfish. Got it from a site around my bros house in FL. It's easy , it's quick and it's very good! We've got alot of tog to cook this year!

Default 03-03 report on the AC

We fished deeper than usual and were rewarded by a nice golden tile shown in the picture. Seabass were there too, but it was hard to catch them due to dogfish problem.

nice golden tile caught by Yong Park.

    nice catch of dog fish.

You don't need expensive jigs for seabass.

    not a bad catch.

Nice Tile and Bass, glad some others got out

I agree that most times you don't need anything but bait or a hammered diamond jig. But, I tried hammered diamond in all sizes, silver and gold. A couple of my friends used hammered diamonds the entire trip, and finished with like 6 to 10 fish each. My one friend used a green/silver Shimano Butterfly, I used the blue/silver and we limited out. One of my other friends limited also, using just bait. So this trip I feel it was necessary.
