    Default White marlin help

I usually dont target WM but with the crappy tuna bite and the world class WM fishing going on im going to give it a try. If I hit the 100 line in the baltimore and head south towards the poormans am i heading in the right direction? What water temp should i be looking for? What should I be pulling and how far away form the boat? Any tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

We had 6 (only released 1) in 3 hours in that location on sunday. Just troll ballyhoo, naked or with skirts, blue and white islander did very well. Troll slow, we had our fish in 700 - 800 feet but they are also thick on the 100 line.

Your general area sounds good. We had atleast 12 WM that we saw behind the boat Sat. All between the 50-80 line between those 2 canyons. We went 1/6 on hooked fish. We probably had a lot more than that behind the boat as we had 18-20 hits/knockdowns/popped clips that did not come tight. We're in a center console so we are not exactly looking down into the spread with a great view.

Medium and dink hoo's worked good. I would suggest throwing out some kind of teaser or if you have spreaders even better. There was some chatter from guys out there Sat saying they had no wm til they threw out their spreaders. We had them in all day and all the wm showed up behind them on the dinks or medium hoo's.

We found the fish just beyond a good temp break in 77-78 degree water.

you are in the right neigborhood. If you want to light fish up you will need to rig 2 natrual double dredges. If not you will only get fustrated. You could try two double fake fish also but with as much bait as there is in water you need something to get them going behind your boat. Think of dredges for whites as chunking for tuna's. Can u cath tuna on the hook without chunking yes but you will do much better if you can keep them focused on YOUR spread.

sounds like the bite was inthe area you are heading. troll lighter rods tdl 25's are ideal with small bally's naked or with small skirts. favorite color seems to be pink. also it doesnt hurt to have one big stick out like an 80 with large bally with chugger or something of the like in case mr.blue decides to show up
