    Default custom molded kayak

I couldn't find what I wanted so I made myself a mold. 12 feet long, 32 inches wide, and about 16 inches high. The first one turned out heavy so I sanded it down and camoflauged it for hunting. Extremly stable and tracks nice, but (Its not much to look at.) But the second one ended up 40 pounds. I dressed it up with some 30 year vinyl graphics. Local guy was very pleased. I thought it turned out pretty nice, but I really want to make one and wrap it with the new printed vinyl, maybe shadow grass with a flat clear over it, and add a hatch. What do you think? thanks pat!

very nice, Did you shape a styrofoam core first or make a mold? I like the dimensions. Ive been telling all the kayak companies I deal with that I dont want their new 15 or 16 foot 28 inch model. 12 foot x 32 inches is where its at.

I fished in the first one last year and had no complaints. It tracked nice and was very stable.I like to sit on the back deck and fish,i dont feel cramped up that way.Worked nice.I even duckhunted with it last winter

I might put an insert in the mold so i have a built in seat, just a few inches deep.It would be to much work and money to build a new mold for a sit on.im going to work with what i got for now.Keep an eye out for #3 its gping to be off the hook with graffics
