    Default River Question

How far up the Egg Harbor River, or any of the tributaries in the McNamara Wildlife Refuge can I go until I need a freshwater license?

I go by the power lines, also. I have mine on me all the time in the river though. I was told by a CO years ago you need one in the tidal impoundments too. That's well above the power lines but he said it is a grey area. He said if he wanted to really bust chops, everyone crabbing in the impoundments could be ticketed. After that conversation I keep mine in my truck or on my person whenever fishing or crabbing out there

So I can go up as far as THompsonville and not need a freshwater license? I'm not usre where the powerlines are so i'm going by google maps to find Gravelly Run.

What about the egg harbor river? It snakes behind somers point and does not go that far inland, but stays parrallel to the ocean.
