was out monday heard the coast guard on the radio sending a chopper and boat off shore to rescue a comm. 46 ft. scallop boat could only hear c.g. on radio sounded like the 2 man crew got into a life boat. dose anyone know more did the men get rescued? did the boat sink? THANK GOD FOR THE COAST GUARD

I was heading out Monday, around 11:00, Coast Guard racing out to the Ocean Inlet, by the time I got to the Ferry they came racing by to the Bay, started to go north then swung around to go to the Ocean. I don't know if they knew were they were going? Didn't hear anything else, or if that was about the Rescue or not,but they sure were flying around!?

Dont know if it was the same boat, but a scallop boat out of cape may caught fire off fire island and a according to the press of atlantic city, the crew was rescued quickly by another fishing vessle after they spent 5 or so mins in the water. Unfortuneately the scallop boat burnt and did sink.
