Left Port Norris at 630 in search of the striped ones. Considered going north but we decided south was the place to be. Made our way out to one of our favorite spots way down south but we didn't mark any bait or stripers. Quick talk and we decided to try spot #2. Well it worked out for the better, within 45 mins we had a 38" in the boat and we were set in battle with another. After about a 10 minute fight we got the 42" boat side and in the net. So we were 2 for 2 that quick and contemplated heading in to watch football, but then the FEVER kept us out there. I called Rottn' Capt who made the 3 mile hike from where he was. He brought Matey with him and they set up on both sides of us. After about another hour Matey was hooked up with what they said was a decent fish, bent the hook and all. Then it was our turn again within 20 minutes we caught and carefully released 2 one was 38" and the other went 46". We didn't want to use the bonus tags with a few tournys in the next couple weeks. After that Ron boated a 43" cow. Well we did one more bait change then headed home. Water was 25' temp was 58. All in all a good day on the water. Talked to Partnership, Rodfather, Ron R., Rottn' Capt, Matey and a few others.
Can't wait til next week, I have a pretty rough schedule fishing Tues nite, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Can't wait. I've got the fever!!!!!![]()
