Upper DB Towing

Where are Boat US / Seatow locations in the upper, or do the boats come from Cape May? I'm debating renewing Boat US but heard Seatow was the way to go in DB. If one will have me waiting longer in the upper bay if needed I'll probably go with the other.

There is a Sea Tow boat in the Maurice river and they will service you anywhere in the bay. No matter where you are you will have to wait. I have Sea Tow and I fish the upper bay.

Not sure where he came from but Captain Phil towed me into Anchor marina once from the bay.

I have seen flags from both services flying at marinas on the river. I don't know if that means there a boat/captain present on not.

A close friend of mine was left dead in the water on a nasty nite early last spring by Boat US. They were way up the bay (north of ship john). They had to be towed in by the coast guard! They were in contact with boat us, they just did't get anyone to them. Next day they tried to get there money back from Boat us with no satisfaction. Absolutely true story.

I used to fish out of Woodland Beach, DE, near Ship John and tried to get coverage and was told that the closest DE locatoin was down at Broadkill Beach and if anything happened, I'd have to wait for help. But I felt the $ was worth it.
