Got the boat ready for the water and with all the rain I was cleaning up tackle and came across my surf rods and reels, which I haven't used for awhile. It was such a nice day I got some fresh clams and hit the beach down here in Cape May. Beautful night fished 3 hours of out going tide. No wind, nice looking surf, water not bad, but cold. Got two huge skates and a few missed bites that could of been skates. The waders still fit and don't leak. Felt good to hit the beach, for it has been awhile. Usually this time of the year there are more fishermen. Had the whole beach to myself.

Took a ride this afternoon to the Point and saw a couple of bass and some skates caught. One short, one keeper bass. Guys where using blood worm and clam. Wind blowing across the water made it feel alot colder than inland, but it was fishable. I was on Bike and just checking to see what action was happening. There were only a few people fishing with the wind comming off the ocean.
