90% of fish are caught by 10% of fishermen.
Nice job...I would have guessed 30 something lbs.

there has been some nice bass out there all year but i am finding that the fishing is very spotty and a matter of feet make the difference
It was 44 inches. I thought it was gonna be heavier too. Might have lost some water weight, or maybe it was just my photography skillslol. Either way it was a nice fish and his personal best
. I couldn't agree with Loncast more about fisherman cleaning up after themselves. Areas should be as clean or cleaner then it was when you got there. I am actively involved in beach clean ups on Ocean City beaches, and was actually planning on organizing serveral local fishing pier clean ups. Let me know if anyone wants be involved. Anytime I go there i always pick up any trash i see laying on the ground. Sorry some of the trash you saw came from our shop. But once these people leave the store I have no control with what they do with our bait containers (as well as all the other trash I have picked up from there like covienient store plastic bags, cigarette boxes, beer bottles, unlabeled containers etc.). I think most fisherman have enough respect for our beaches and piers to clean up after themsleves and prevent this trash from making its way into our waters, but the ones who don't ruin it for everybody else. Once we get a date and time for a multi pier clean up i will post a thread in case anyone wants to get involved, but will probably only need a handful of people for an hour or two. Thanks for posts...

Yea that spot is one of the only public designated fishing piers in one of the most crowded beach resorts around. So come mid-summer, when hundreds of thousand of vacationers flood the area, there usually tends to be a crowd as long when its nice out. That is why I will only fish there in the spring and fall. If you wanna avoid the summer crowds, i would recomend hitting up the lesser known beaches, bridges, and piers where fishing is allowed, but not designated. Thanks again for your important message about the trash, and your great idea for a 24-7 pier clean up. Maybe we can even put up signs that says "please remove your trash", after we get it all up. The one i am going to put together is gonna involve 4 local piers. Let me know if you wanna take part in it... Tight Lines!!!

I stopped at the pier last night. It was a disgrace. Trash cans are half empty, but trash everywhere
F'n slobs.
I stayed about 10 minutes but got sick to my stomach. Like fishing in a dump.
Even though i dont frequent the piers, count me in for a clean up. Maybe put drag island bridge on the list.
I think that fish was lostGood job!
