The bite is slowing down a bit in the bay...people tend to not post a negative trip....plus its been 1000 degrees out, that suppresses the people going out...

Hooker u go out alot. With success. Have u heard anything on chicken strips with minnies? And if not should I request bunker? Mackerel? Squid with the minnows is the obvious combo. But I got some youngsters coming and want to give them a quality time. A's long a's the bay allows.
I haven't used chicken since it first became the" hot" thing to try, years ago....it worked back then.....plenty of fresh bunker out there to snag and that is alot better then store bought.....if your going outa husteds you better run a bit south for any kind of consistant action on fluke...if not anchor up in the creek and beat the perch and bass up like DJDon does.....good luck...

My old man use to go out of Husteds sold the boat about 7 yrs ago. We are chartering from the fort. Been with same charter since boat sold. Just thinking of things to try and remembered chicken. Just wondering if I should grab some for the halibut! Lol. Btw hooker I called Jenkins to see what was going on and she said croakers started coming into Nj side. Will they take bunker strips? Chicken or minnows? Usually?
