Default A little help - New to area and can't get to absecon inlet

    Hello,

I moved to Brigantine over the winter. My boat for the moment is at a family friend's lift (near blue x). I have gone out a few times to try and fish the inlet but have hit the mud (red x) on more than one occasion. I am trying to get out to the intercoastal and the come back east to the inlet. This is the only chart I can find and my GPS looks the same. I know the bottom of the bay changes but I can't seem to figure it out. I haven't seen any other boaters as of yet (I only get Tuesday morning's to fish for the most part). Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance! Rob

That chart is not correct. You need to go out little panama into the ICW. follow the good water for now but the channel runs behind sunflower island.

if you would like i can help personally on board your boat. send me an email. but yea fish-n-sea is correct the chart isnt current. it also depends what kind of boat you have, how much draft you take.

Default Golden Hammocks to Little Panama

    Rob,

Take a left turn at Golden Hammocks, line up with the older Harrahs buildings, and run across almost to the bank at Little Panama. Follow the bank into Little Panama, and out into channel. You will have plenty of water all the way across. Your chart is not showing accurate water depth in this area. There is a channel between Golden Hammocks and Little Panama that is over 10' for most of the way across. Tightlines, Capt. John

Thanks a lot guys. I had a feeling it was all wrong. Pirate are you in Brigantine full time or langhorne? I may take you up on that offer.

BTW, I am a 21' center console seahunt. Draft about 2 feet

Default You can get thru that way at about 1/2 tide...

but it will take a lot of exploration to figure it out.
