    I too miss the curmudgeon, I was lucky enough to have worked next to him in the shop for years. I learned a lot from him and have several of his flies in my collection. I’m a martini drinker and my favorite Schwammy fly was his Blue Winged Olive, which was a spun deer hair olive with pimento and upright blue wings.

    I fish them all. I have just as much fun wrecking them as I do tying them.

    Saturday was great, filled about 15 seats and had a damn good time. Give me a shout when you get in.

    Beautiful sliders Bill. The chartruese fly and that hot orange fly would be great Pike/Musky offerings up here.

    Thanks, I do a musky trip to N.Ontario every year. Sight fishing glacier fed lakes with 5/0 flies that resemble muppets is my favorite thing on earth.
