I couldnt tell ya. In those cases I am too steamed to be polite, but I do refrain from name calling. At least at first.

What did you catch the 25 pounder on? Clam?

    Default Weekend Report

fished LBI Saturday and Sunday at the high tides. Had about 8-9 strong runs on bunker heads, but couldn't get any hits on chunks. How are you guys hooking your heads up bc I tried 3 different ways w/ different hooks, and missed every time other than the one time where I caught a 4' doggie. Sunday, was fishing in the morning and got a sharp pain in the side, went to the hospital and returned home without my appendix. Will be out of commission for a little while. Catch em up for me.

damn hope you feel better and recover quickly. i usually hook mine from the chin and out the top of the nose just a little bit back from the lips. just enough to hold on the hook during the cast.

We modify are bunker heads for easier casting. After cutting head off, cut from hinge of jaw parellel to spine. 8-0+ circle hook placed thorugh bony nose plate. Head becomes much more aerodynamic, cast very well and doesn't come off easily.

I basically do the same and cut the lower jaw off and expose the brains, mmmmm. The stripers love that chit! With kingfish heads I just throw the whole thing on as they are usually much smaller than bunker heads. As for hooking, in the bottom of the jaw and out the top of the bony head.

I think this moon is the end. Time to start catching teeners and small keepers while we watch our northern friends slay the cows.....

Heading down this weekend and was wondering if anyone has had any luck for stripers in NWW surf? Caught one short a few weeks back, but haven't seen any reports from anyone.

I think the big stripers are gone. Microbass have moved in. Fished last night at dusk as the storm moved in. No sign of bait or blues or stripers.
