    Default shark report june 26

got out the first time this year yesterday. Fishing off NE of Brig from 630pm-10pm. Was fishing mackeral and bunker (both vacumm bagged frozen) paddled about 300 yds out. Not a touch! thought me and my buddy saw a dorsal and tail fin surface down the beach a few times. Ill keep updating, this time of the year i start to go everyother day.

If you even dream of beating me you better wake up and apologize!

U said paddled out. Did u paddle yer bait out and fish from the beach or did u fish right out of a kayak? Just curious cuz me and a couple guys are goin for browns this wknd and we are gonna try both ways. Pretty excited about the idea of having my kayak dragged around by a big ole brown shark!

I like to get the bait out using a stand up paddle board then fish from the beach. Ive comtemplated about catching one from the yak, but im not confident in landing a shark and safely releasing it while on a kayak. check out the kayak forum theres a bunch of guys looking to get a group together to go brown fishing.

whats your leader set up? and how many rods did you fish?

I did it last year, caught and released over 40 sand tiger's biggest 8'6" 250lbs+. Done with it now, got old.

Best bite is from 9pm to 3am.

Go to local fish cleaning bait shops, use flounder head/rockfish head/mahi head/tuna head.

Walk along beach if ur there during the day, if someone catches a skate go grab it and kill it, best bait, and crabs dont touch it!

sign up at Landbasedsharkfishing.com and read the shark handbook at tx-sharkfishing.com

selling my rod holders, I have four of them, let me know if your interested.

pictured below, 2" galvanized 5 foot long with rubber inserts so you dont scratch your reels/rod gimble, plus a gimble mount.

if interested email me @ slickstercav@yahoo.com
