Default New boat = More bass

My father-in-law gave me his 14' john boat and trailer a few weeks back. We took it to the poconos this weekend to test her out. We had awesome fishing all day with 7 bass on saturday, and another 3 on sunday. This boat will be a game changer for me, i can not wait to get back out on it.

The boat and trailer worked great considering they sat in his driveway for the last three years. Only problem was I blew out a tire on the north east exstension coming home yesterday. Thank God he gave me a spare and AAA had me up and running in under an hour. Made for a long ride home but was well worth it

Wheel bearings, wheel bearings, wheel bearings. If u think a flat is bad u haven't burnt up a bearing yet. Spare tires go on easy, ruin an axle and u will really have a problem.

I strongly recommend repacking the bearings and replacing the seals since it sat so long. It is cheap insurance.

Good luck with the new boat.

@burt, i took you up on your advice and i am having a buddy with his own shop repack the bearing and seals, as well get me three new tires. i talk to my father-in-law he told me got the trailer in 1987 and has never done anything with the bearings or seals, just made sure he always greassed the wheels.
