Thread: How do you store your buck tails?

    If the hair becomes funky you can wet it down in the sink with hot water and let it air dry, usually helps get the bucktail material straight.

    When the bucktails are dry I store them in small plastic bags that I used to store flies in, not sure what they are called, but a fly shop might carry them. Good thing about them is it keeps all the bucktails seperate so the colors dont run and it keeps the hair from curling and straight.

    This is a nice bag for bucktails, you can also rinse them while in the bag, or take the orange inserts out of the bag completely when its time to reorganize.

    I have over #30 lbs of bucktails in mine, two years old still going strong and I get alot of compliments on this bag.



    Or you can put two plano boxes in there in leiu of the orange Vertistax TM dividers
