Monday 7/30
Scratched out 3 keepers and about 8 shorts in tough conditions today. Wind against tide and then just plain wind...the rips were nasty. Also lost a mystery fish that took drag and then wouldn't budge so as soon as we decided to start chasing the line parted. Shark? Don't know we never saw it, but it was strong...
Probably those cow nose rays. They don't budge easily from the bottom.
Live to fish and fish to keep me sane. Tight lines.
Windy out there for sure. Made for questionable conditions.
Report sounds good compaired to most ,wonder how the tounys going to go this weekend
Forgot to mention I also hooked a squid in the bay. First time I have ever seen a squid in the bay in over 20 years of fishing there. It was like one of those full sized offshore squids. Go figure...
