Weather has been nice & having a good time lobstering. Lots of hours under water with some success. Haven't fished yet but plan on tomorrow cause one of my sourses informed me that she has been doing well with the trout.

first time under with the camera.

    Fish do like structure.

    Part of a nice catch.

I don't have a lot of areas that I know hold bugs, but today we went to a totally different area & found some very good structure with a few bugs. Had to get out of the water due to incoming storms & I had a wedding to go to this evening.

tickle stick is on the right wrist, net on left.
Took a couple of hours to try for some trout this PM. Some threating storms but my area was spared. Nice part of the deep part of Niles. Nice calm winds, water temp 83.7, end of the outgoing on the 8 wt. one of 8-10. Kept 2 for tomorrow.

Reports have been few and far between in seems like so here is what I have been catching. Fall is right around the corner and I think we are going to have a really good one. I have been seeing ton of bait hopefully it hangs around for a few months.
By the way that is a 12" jiggy and my supersized fly reel.

Default Seeing some rays of hope!

Finally seeing some signs of normal fishing again. After two months of super warm water temperatures and just snapper blues I am finally seeing some striper action again in the ocean and it might we worth taking out real fishermen again. The steady diet of small blue fish was really getting old and boring.

Water has dropped to the lower 70's with a fair amount of bait and the last few trips we have picked up a few stripers to make life more interesting again. We had 5 bass the other day and 7 last night to 27 inches, aleast making it worth fishing again.

Back is still pretty dead. Tried last night just to see if things have changed. Water was still warm 79 to 82 degrees. Did see a little more baitfish and a first small pod of mullet. It had maybe 25 or 30 in it and was the first larger bait that I have seen. Still no signs of any peanuts.

The only fish we got in the back was a 13 inch striper and hits from 10 inch blues. Hoping the full moon tides will move in cleaner cooler water with better oxygen content.

Glad to see things improving for you Ray. We have avoided Issack both in Melborne & the Keys. Actually had some nice trout the other day that I'll post if & when I can get computer wholly running. I think my stubby fingers are catching up to me.

Good to hear you avoided the storm and what goes with it. Had a few more bass last night but still mostly blues with the water up at 76 to 77 degrees at high tide in the ocean.

Fishing this week continued to be good. It is still all around the inlet and the ocean. Had some good striper action on the fly using popping flies on a fairly windy night. Water was a bit dirty from and the rain but Bobs Banger and Steroid Gurglers seemed to generate the most interest. We had 7 bass that night and some blues. Very little action on sub surface flies.

Last night had mother, father and young son out and we had a grand slam night with a nice keeper weakie. (first in about 3 weeks) some nice fluke including 2 keepers, blues and a few small stripers. They were all caught on plugs except for the fluke where I had them using jig heads and gulp.

I think the nice fast moving full moon tides helped as the water in the ocean is still 76.4 degrees.

Will have to see if it holds up after the extra high full moon tides return to normal.
