Fished MoCo this morning from 6:00am to 9:00am on the outgoing tide with my two buddies. Used gulp swimming mullets and ended up with three short fluke. The bite wasn't really that good as compared to the other days I had success.

LBI northend for afternoon incoming. 1 short fluke and 5 seabass on minnows. Water was absolutely nasty, weedy, dirty and churned up. Can't imagine very many fluke would be chewing in that water. Chocolate milk doesn't do it justice. More along the lines of doo doo butter .Should have turned around when I first got on the beach.

Fished several spots near 2 SJ inlets last night during the outgoing and first couple hours of incoming. Two spots had plnety of bait while the other 2 had none at all. I also timed the spots poorly. After the first spot was dead, I made it to my primary spot a couple of hours too late. For the first 30 minutes I was able to sight cast to spike weakies and also landed a short fluke. After that they disappeared. Tried a few different spots on that sod bank to no avail. Moved north a couple of towns to try another spot at the change of the tide. After a long walk, I found no bait and no hits, not even when the water got moving good. Tried under some near by lights and found tons of PB and some smaller fish on them. So much bait my offering didn't stand a chance. Was a really nice night out, except for the figgin nats; good thing I had 100% DEET.

Well took the kids and saw the sunrise. Within minutes of hitting the ocnj
Beach saw dolphins. After a lull in any action the kids starting picking up some spot and kings. I used the spot as bait on my rod and caught a few blues. Also cutting off at least 4 with my 20 leader. I was using an inch piece of bloodworm for the kids on a kingfish rig. I had mentioned in another post my kingfish rods are like 10 foot trout rods. Well my daughters setup hits hard and is bent in half. She fights for a while and asks for help. I assist and see a familiar fin in the water. We bring it in. A nice fat 21 inch striper which we quickly release. Great morning.
