Speaking of low water! Has anyone else had problems getting through the channel at the south end of Stone Harbor at low tide. This is the area a little before the Great Channel bridge. It is the area with the three green markers where the channel turns East/West, about five markers heading south before the sharp right turn, around the red nun buoy, along the sod bank. We draw about three feet and at and near low tide cannot get through. We checked it out in kayaks and could not find any water deeper than 2 feet.

Frank, I've had the same problem. Passing through that area at low tide is just about impossible.

Yo Phil! You're talking a lot of potenial customers out of driving around there. Either that or youre sick of going over there at 10 oclock at night.

If you go around #424 there is plenty of water along the left sod bank.

Phil, yes there is deep water along the sod bank but when I turn to head toward 418 at low tide I can't find water. Any suggestions?

The markers can mark a channel in either direction and that one is marked from the inlet through N.Wildwood to the ICW....RRR.

I haven't found it yet...I've swung north and south...seems pretty flat and only around 3 feet ave at low tide once you make the turn.

Someone put temporary floats there but they look more like crab pots then they do channel markers. According to two (2) state police officers, they probably won't be putting permanent makers back.
