    Default Sat, 8/4, Back Bay

Posting here because it's my favorite forum.

Fished with Nhanzel from 7:30 AM to 12:30 from Hereford Inlet to WW RR bridge.
Managed one 18" flattie on wonder rig and minnow, a 14" sea robin on green crab (thanks Girl's Place for selling us 1/2 doz for $2...it was just enough), one small croaker, one doggy, and a few oyster crackers. Tried for tog around the bridges and pilings but no luck. A nice day until the nooners hit the water and churned it up. Beats working (which I did after that in Stone Harbor...lol).

Thanks for the ride Art. That was the biggest sea robin I have ever seen.

Thanks for the report and pictures. Good work. My advice is get a bigger bag for those fluke or catch smaller fluke so they fit. . Looks like your going to get fish slime on your sour cream or pickles. How did the woman like seeing that when she opened the fridge? mine would have flipped her wig.

I have to clean the fish before I leave the dock. No way I can bring it home like that.... Thanks for the report.

Hahaha...glad you guys got a laugh from that. I trailer and there's no table at the ramp, so I gotta' bring it home whole. But I always let the fish sit for a day before I filet it ("it", because there has yet to be a "them"...lol). The wife is pretty good about having it in the fridge for a day (as long as it isn't a big striper) and I just opened the bag up for the pic.

Maybe we can have a little picture competition: "Fish pic in the most unusual place"...Fatman would be leading w/ that living room drum shot!

Good to have you along Nick. We'll snag those tog next time.

    Default Fish in the house.

It's simple, you just explain that you are cleaning the fish in your half of the kitchen.

Oh my god. Now I've seen it all. Be honest fatman she snapped a picture of you in your chair and afghan watching the Stanley cup and cuddling with your catch. I'm starting to see how you get so lucky, you sleep with the fishes. . I'd hate to see DjDons bed with all those prickly perch.

That there my friend is a classic picture. I'd have my wife's foot stuck in my ass if I even THOUGHT about bringing a whole fish in our house. We'll see in a few years when I take my daughter trout fishing and she gets her first. I think we kept my first trout in the freezer for about a year
