Default 8/8 Back Bay Report w/pics Hitting Striped Bass and Fluke

Post pinned our trip by an hour this morning as we waited out the thunderstorms and lightening that never really crossed the parkway.

With safe skies we headed to the flats and found the bass @ the first stop working the peanut bunker into a film of water. Tied one up on a top water plug that came unbuttoned then poled the flat before heading to a swift moving incoming tide where we found bass and flounder stacked up for the remainder of the trip. Two for three on the bass and flounder 4# & 3# fish with a 20 incher for good measure wrapping up an awesome morning on the water.

Longdrive - It would be worth it. You should learn a few tricks from Dan. Went once but it seemed the weather was too nice. A couple striper and a keeper fluke. But he has some interesting fishing techniques to teach!!

Absolutely awesome day. It was a slow start made worse by me dropping a fish almost immediately and then nothing for a couple of hours. When we started drifting it was almost non stop action. 4 fluke 3 keepers and a nice striper. My son never caught a striper and never had a keeper fluke. He got both in a 10 minute span. I'll definitely be back. I would highly recommend him. Thanks Dan.
