Thumbs up ADAM BOMB FLUKE FISHING Update

    Hello everyone!

With the bad weather yesterday and today, I thought I'd post an update to our fluke fishing trips!

Fluke season 2012 has been nothing short of spectacular. While only a couple days have been slow(usually due to bad weather), most days have been seeing fantastic catches and many 4, 5, and 6 pound fish in the mix. We've also had a number of 7 to 9 pounders recently, too! Many days have seen boat LIMITS of fluke, and the days we have not caught our limit we were very close. I don't feel the 17.5" minimum size has bolstered our catches very much, as the majority of the keepers we've taken home have not needed to be measured as they are 19, 20, 21 inch plus fish.

If we can stay in the clear relative to the tropics and don't have any tropical weather impacts to our coast either directly with a landfall or indirectly with a large ground swell from offshore, fluke fishing should continue to be excellent through the remainder of August and continuing through September until it closes.

While August is booked aboard the ADAM BOMB III, September has plenty of openings, particularly on week days. Please, give me a call, e-mail, or text to book your dates. Also, keep in mind that once fluke closes we'll be targeting sea bass and the fall fishery for them is usually outstanding!

    THANK YOU!
    Tight lines,
    Capt. Adam

Been a great year for sure!! Have had the pleasure of being out twice on your boat this year and had a great time both days. Who knows, maybe I'll break down and go one day in Sept or Oct instead of going hunting.

    Capt Adam,

I am with you in regards to not even mentioning @#$@canes. I am having a phenomenal year on the Fluke, mostly up above you ( I fish out of Avalon ) I finally made it into the Subway cars last week and there are some real whoppers in there.

Thanks for the report here skipper - I love seeing these Fluke reports.

    Thumbs up

Took my son Mike out early June with Adam for his first time ever on a 6 man private charter.

His comment, after a helluva great day----"No wonder you go on private charters!" We all went home with a heavy bag of filets.

I fished with Adam for the first time this past thursday......He will go where ever he has to...to find the bite, we were around 18 or so miles off I believe.....his gear is top notch, without a doubt the most fun I have ever had flounder fishing....the man works hard for his fares and is a trip to fish with......the only bad thing about booking a trip with Adam.....is getting spoiled

Ditto...it depends on where the fish are, but if there are fish biting he will find them. He has daiwa conventional gear, and I believe uses 20# braid.

One reel Adam is using that was secret is the Daiwa Lexa 300 just released for shipping the other day. But, that rod is in fact something special. As for the Revo, I can not and will not speak on that reel as I do not know how it withstands saltwater or the fish. However, the Lexa 300 HSP is designed for saltwater use and offers a large cranking handle, 240 yards of 40 Pound Daiwa Samurai braid and a max drag of 22 pounds for straters. This reel is nice for the guy that wants to fluke fish, cast lures at striped bass or pull giant muskie lures through the water. Its retail price is $199.99
