I've tried setting a minnow trap in Darby Creek several times myself, and have only ever caught a couple of minnows. I've used minnnow traps in other streams and have done quite well. I guess the minnows are just smarter in the Darby .

juniata is a good river i fished there this weekend near the boat ramp in huntingdon where the two branches flow in and pulled out 7 smallies including 2 @16" and 2 @14" and a a few more alil smaller.

crayfish, minnows and worms for bait

Was all the bait gone? If you leave it too long and all the bait is gone they will eventually find their way out.

I'm on the hunt for crawfish tonight on the neshaminy. Using a trap with blue fish filets gonna let it soak for 2-3 hours. I'll report back results.

Did a float trip from the dam to the huntingdon boat ramp and caught a ton of fish but nothing over 12.
