Truly amazing. In the background, you can see other sharks breaching as well. Thanks for sharing!

Couple weeks ago, a little north of there we had about 6 fish on and lost them all fishing bunker with steel leader and bluefish hooks. Some just broke the line and some bit thru the leader. Never got a fish to the boat. Started questioning our gear even though we had caught several large stripers on this equipment earlier in the season. Thought they might have been bluefish but they could have been sharks.

we watched that a little north of ibsp. the sharks, what i believe to be black tips, were corkscrewing and spinning out of the water after they ran thru the bait. my crazy ass buddy peddled his yak out into that mess and ended up catching 2 on a bottle plug. i helped him land both on the beach and got a good look at em. when i saw them corkscrewing i thought spinner. but after seeing one in person they look more like a black tip.

    Floatsum,

2 weeks ago I was fishing off LBI with my father and saw fish breaking water like that and corkscrewing...we assumed they were dolphin harassing bunker and I remember thinking if we were in Florida, I was say they were spinner sharks..we were not real close and I was looking through the binaculars....looking at the video I bet they were the same fish...awesome video......I have caught big blues, brown sharks and hooked and lost a monster cobia fishing the bunker pods off of lbi over the years......

yes originally i thought spinners as well. once i saw 1 up close and got a good look at it. i went home and wiki became my best friend for the next few hrs. from the pics i saw and the range they gave the spinners vs blacktips they had to be blackies. also had dolphins pass thru my mind but we never saw any come up to breathe.
black tips and spinners are very closely related and exhibit similar corkscrewing habits. the spinners are very rare anywhere north of NC. BT range up to mass.
