My brother has a house on South Captains just got his boat out Saturday.
I would guess South Forecastle is in the same situation....both my sister and I have houses on the street.....mine has about an 12 inch crawl space.....not high enough in this type of storm. How high do you expect the tide to be in the next few surges ?

The streets are a little different...the one across the lagoon is about 1' higher than mine....the wind and the rain are increasing..just had some gusts that were shaking the whole house...damn...

I'm up in forked river now a little higher but not much. The winds are really coming on now and water just coming over top of bulkhead

Well, if it's any consolation to anyone, the tide is going down. I'd say it's down a foot in the last 90 minutes or so.
The wind let up for a few minutes, so I took a quick video. If you use Roundabout Creek, you know this stretch.

Joey just saw on tv that they are calling for a 10 to 12 foot storm surge north of Atlantic city. I would start making arrangements to get up on the second floor of your neighbors house. Stay safe!!
