Can someone tell me how LED lights compare with Regular lights and how about these Xenon lights?

I am looking to buy new interior dome lights and want to get the brightest I can. I have been hearing all sorts of good things about LED, but how much light do you really get? I have conventional lights now and want to buy a better product if I can...........ie. more light.

Now I still want to stick with 5.5 inch domes in SS. I have found several fixtures I like and the main difference is the bulbs.
