    Thumbs up

    Ever try it????
Some of the best Largemouth fishing I've ever had was on a full moon in the summer starting around 10 pm. In a canoe so it's real quiet and casting jitterbugs and reeling them very slow. The bass are right on top of the water. I've had them so close to the side of the canoe that when they realize your there they splash and soak you and scare the sh!t out of you for a second.
Use to have a few at Molias Bar and then fish. But the bars been long gone.

I had a excellent day & night during an early June full moon in 98.

Got a bunch of smallmouths with two easily over 5lbs on Lake Winnipesaukee!

A nice catch for my first week living in New Hampshire!

Even better then full moon is new moon. Harder to fish because of the darkness but man the bass are slaming everything that creates a wake on the surface.

Is there any fishing at all allowed at springton reservoir?? If its closed, a big body of water like that, getting little if any pressure, has a lot of potential, especially in the warmest part of the state where theres a longer growing season.

I agree the new moon is my choice fresh or salt. Although I used to use jitterbugs I've had far more success on a black spinnerbait with black blade and a jumbo porkrind. Biggest to date fell for this at 10:30pm in 9ft of water 8lbs. 7oz.

Oh yes!!! Me & my buddy would sneak into a private lake in the middle of the night. We loved the full moon! We would catch huge bass up to 8 lb. We also caught huge Calico (Crappie)! We took 2 lures with us. A large black jointed jitterbug and a extra one just in case you lost the 1st one!
