I am going to add teasers to my bag of tricks this fall.

My money fly has always been the Char/White Clouser, and for plugs is the 16A Bomber(Black, Green/White, Blue /White)
So this Fall I plan to team them up.
So the question for the crowd is 2 part:
    1. What is everyones favorite teaser?
    2. How far ahead of the Bomber do you tie your dropper loop (teaser)?

I snap my teaser right to the barrel swivel. NO tangles, problem solved. I try NOT to use a teaser when fishing a surface plug, just me. I use a purple or yellow bucktailed hook, that's it. Snap it right on ahead of a 2-3 foot leader and go. If I had a buck for everyone talking about teasers that I saw out fishing WITHOUT a teaser I could have payed off my school loans by now.

Olive and white, black and yellow, brown or black. I tie mine less than a foot in front of the plug.

I just realized I need to pay myself some cash. Plenty of extra fish last year. Why? Teasers!

Thanks for the reminder. The last step, don't be lazy. FISH HARD!

    Cheers

Pink a little more than a foot. this one took the bomber, but you can see the pink teaser.

olive a little more than a foot - and people try to tell me flounder don't bite at night

Fishing isn\'t a matter of life and death -- its much more important than that.

I tie my own flies for teasers so I like to get creative. I use decievers with swimming plugs or poppers about 12-18" in front. I like to use Clousers with deep divers or jigs. I mix up colors alot but usually have a dark color over white. This year I have put teasers on every cast and it's suprising how often the teaser gets hit!

An old salt I work with recommended not using teasers when the bluefish are around. He lost 2 Bombers 1 day when the blues hit the teaser and cut away line to the Bomber.
