    Default drum techniques...

If there was a Time of day, and a certain Tide that you could choose to catch drum that would be considered perfect for you, what would it be?.

For (ex.) 9:00 pm, just turning to the out going tide, water temp 58 degrees , etc...

Dusk is without a doubt the best time to catch a drum. You want a moving tide from sunset thru until it gets dark, prefer the incoming, but outgoing will suffice as long as it starts moving when the sun is setting. The ideal scenario is to be in your spot by 5 or 6 pm with a high tide prediction around 10 or 11 pm around the New and Full moons of May & June. This year, there should be a good bite early next week and a great one during the memorial day weekend and on the Jersey side, granted they're here in #'s. Though, after how many were slaughtered last year, pickings could be slim this season. It's been slow so far, there's usually a good bite in late April when they first show up. Didn't happen this year, but it's still early in the season and the waters alot cooler than last year at this time.
