Default Where to find blues

I'm sure there are well known spots that most people know about, except me, to find blues when you want to take the kids. During the next 2 months, is there anywhere you could go, anchor up, and chum them in, day or night? The only way I've caught them was by chasing birds but if that isn't happening, I dont have the confidence to anchor somewhere and expect to find them. Thanks. If I had to take a guess, go to SR, if nothing, go to Flynns, Romar, etc.

they're literally everywhere. 11 can going around the tip of the hook has had some 8-10lb fish in the past few days.

Im sick of the yellow eyed bastardos already.

Watch the kids curious fingers. Anywhere at the hook. If you're gonna chum, your gonna get blues there now. Right at the tip of the hook there's a couple "lagoons/coves" anchor up there, it'll keep you out of traffic and you will get fish.

Yeah, can't go wrong near the tip of the hook right now. Go slow out near where Squid Vicious said to, and when your fishfinder lights up, drop diamond jigs or shads (if you don't mind losing a bunch of shads, ha). Haven't even tried with bait, but I imagine they'll get into a frenzy if you chum and throw bunker chunks at them.

They are taking bait. We did well on the blues on Thursday with chunk.

Lots of good advice passed along so far.

I'll add that for the last few days the mouth of the shreswbury river from the clam hut to the highland bridge is teaming with 6 to 10 pound blues.

The water around the Oceanic bridge and probably the whole river is loaded with Bluefish too.

To increase your odds select your time on the water with a moving tide. The Outgoing tide has been producing well lately.

Good luck. Enjoy the day. Don't forget to cover your kids in sunscreen.

You might want to bring some thing along to keep the kids attn if fishing is slow.

Cheers

When the weather gets a little warmer the Mud Bouy will be a consistant producer.

You can walk on bluefish in the shrewsbury and navesink right now.

get out the light tackle and single hook poppers and go nuts.

Slam dunk trolling umbrella's and Mann stretch's out front round bout Shrewsbury rocks. Who knows you mite get a bass. The mann stretches and even surface swimmers can be trolled on "average" tackle. If you have a calm day, do it!!!!! it's put smiles on my nephew's faces more than once. Watch their fingers!!!
