Default 11/3 Striped Bass Report w/pics Session of Solid 20#ers' w/ Fish Bandit the CM Rips

Fished with my Dad (Fish Bandit) on his boat out of Cape May. Got to the rips around sunrise this morning and on the first drop I hooked up a beautiful 27 pound fish.

The rest of the morning we released many fish, all above 20 pounds. Double hook ups on each drift , bass smashing into the live bait like hammers...

All the fish were fresh in, just as Capt Skip of the Stalker (who bailed a 31 pound bass on a bucktail this morning) had indicated the day before.

Small sea lice were all over the fish and many of the bass were spitting up various large bait fish they were gorging themselves on in the shoals.

Big thanks to my Dad today! One of my best days fishing the rips. He really has an special ability to pick an area apart and find the fish. His boat control was so accurate that I could almost time when both baits were going to get smashed. He's really extraordinary at what he does...

Nothing better than fishing with Dad. Mine is 86 and coming home from Florida for the holidays and looking forward to fishing with my brother and me.

Enjoy it Dan and God bless every day you have with him.

Thanks Josh! Unfortunately, I doubt it. Supply is pretty tight this year.
I'll give you a ring on where they might be had. Nice report!

Thanks Steve! I know the year year you're talking about, that spring alone was phenomenal. Who knows, maybe in late November/December...

nice job fellas.
Dan,
drove by the marina Tues.(actually by boa for a changet) Fished w/my brother in his boat. Got a few on topwater at 1st light then nothing. Tide even higher than we expected w/full moon. BUT, noticed you were not in the slip. You out for the yr. I would think not

Yeah. The outboard, finally blew up. So I gotta pick up a new one.
I can't complain since it was a 15 year old motor. I'll be back in first thing in the spring.
I needed some time to work on the boat anyway. It was getting pretty beat up.
