Chris, is she a real 31ft Ray Hunt Chris?. Those are about collector items?? What's in her for horses??
Yes, if you own both definelty keep the 22 Mako. Next question?? How old is the 22 Mako??. If you are still thinking about getting rid of the 22 Mako, maybe we can work a deal.... I'm looking for a 22 Mako...to rebuild, but I want an old one...early 70's boat.. Lets talk...... |

Chris,
I'll go with the crowd and say keep her. There have been 4 ocassions that I have had 3 tied to my dock, but most times 2. A bigger offshore boat and a 17 Mako, that my dad bought new in 1974 and has become a family heirloom. I am now down to a 211 Mako and the 17 Mako and I am keeping both....

I think I saw it in one response - keep the small one and sell the big!!!!
Charters are out there and figure what it costs to dock, maintain, and run the big one. Factor in the cost of prep and pre and post trip too. Lots of hours there that you gotta respect the charter guys for taking on. Then jump on with an open boat charter as the season goes. Remember - a boaters best friend is the guy with the bigger boat

The 22 Mako I'm looking for is something from the 70's.. Do a decent rebuild and hang a pair of rebuilt 70hp engines or a rebuilt 150 something to get me to the old grounds.. Slaughter flounder.. |
