Thumbs up TomKat 11-6 Gale Force Fishing for Bass Blues & Birds

11-6, Lou The J%@ flew his son Cory up from college in Florida to fish with us this weekend. This had been planned for the last few months. Well Lou never let a day go by asking if we would score when Cory was up here. As the time drew closer it seemed like he's ask every five minutes . Yesterday Lou and I had a great day chasing the bass and blues. Cory flew in last night. What would today bring? would I be able to get this Father-Son team fish? Would it be to windy to even go out? There was a gale warning in effect! Well we scored big time!

We left about 9:30 and headed north. The inlets were tough. No land or buildings to block the wind! We would stop every few miles and look through the binocs for birdplay. Hugging the beach we did find some nice bunker schools that had bass and blues under them. We messed with them for a while. Cory landed a big blue and we had some bite offs. But not what we were looking for.

We moved on untill we saw a cloud of birds and before we stopped we had marks and fish busting.

Cory imdediately had a double header! Then he switched to a popper and landed a fat 39inch bass!

We fished nonstop for the next several hours. The fish were larger today. Mostly 34inch or bigger. We only kep four between the three of us. I think Lou had tears in his eyes from sharing this great fall fishing with his son.

All I can say is I am very sore from the last two days! Since the winds were gale force there was no other boats.

We did have one from our dock meet us up there, "Never Ends". Pete and "Mugsy" also got lots of nice fish. I can't upload pics right now but will tomorrow.

Way to go guys...nice to see Margate Marina boys putting meat on the dock. Pete can officially change back to the real name of his boat....we temporarily named it NEVER GOES.

Pretty work!

Good report! Nice job! Sounds like I might change plans tomorrow from the inlet to looking for the blitzes!

No Jerome some times the fishing is so good we actually catch in spite of Lou's presence.
