I want to thank all of you for sympathies. This is a really great little on-line community we have here. I've met and fished w/ several, all great guys.
Dad's best friend lives down on the Pungo R. We went and visited w/ him yesterday to decompress before today's viewing (funeral is on Monday). It was good for dad, he and his pal talked about boats, NC, and life in general. This fella lost his wife to cancer 7 years ago, so he seems to have a calming effect on dad, very soothing. I left them in the house to pust some cork in my hand. I didn't catch a thing, but casting and watching the water and my fly move thur it eased my pain too, however temporarily. It was good to be near the water, listening to the wind thru the pines, the waves kissing the bulkhead, and watching the swaying of the spainish moss.
Again, thanks, just for letting me ramble thru the cobwebs that fill my head now. I wish you guys could have met mom and had a slice of her blueberry pie.....
