The $10 does not matter. What you did does.

Default Scam

I had the same thing happen to me about a month ago......guy lost his wallet needed gas money . I gave him $10.
About 2 weeks later sitting in my friends pick up with him waiting for his kid to get out of work. Same guy pulls up with the same story !!!
You still have to give them a couple of $ the first time not knowing if its for real or not but when this guy repeated the same story to my buddy, I sure told him what I thought about it

So now he knows where you live and since you had money to spare, he probably thinks you work.

When you go in to wawa, do you take out a dollar and leave the rest of your wallet in your car?

Not many people do. Did you happen to see if he was drinking coffee? How about the fuel gauge?

I hope this does not come back to bite you, but these scams happen all the time.

Your belief in humanity should be commended.

You will get that $10 back when Whitney Houston and Bobbi Brown become drug free....

My philosophy is to always borrow from a pessimist. They never expect to get paid back.

A guy scammed me in Key West yrs. ago in a similar way. He approached me two days later with the same story. I got my $10 back and another $10 or I told him I was going to kick his azz. He paid gladly and left.

I got caught ( now that I think about it) the same way, only I gave the guy my last $5.00. I told him no need to get my address, I would run into him again sometime.
Oh well, I felt good about myself the rest of the day and it only cost me a fin.
