Default TRAPS/POTS all over BH bay

Just wanted to give everyone who fishes from west creek to LEI a heads up.... the bay is littered with bottom traps, Im not sure if they are crab pots or conch traps. They have lined them up in high traffic areas and the bouys are not well marked , some are dark blue/black, they are also tight together bouy to bouy with a flag on the end one>>> not sure if this means that it is a string of them connected. I have traveled from west creek to LEI for 7 years and cut thru the 2 islands across from morrisons and yesterday I was greeted by a series of these fu*k*ng traps and then had to run thru them in the dark. Also doing drifts from the 110 to 113 they are on both sides of the ICW>>> areas frequently drifted by Bass fisherman. So if anyone hasnt had the chance to get down and do some bass fishing... be careful because the bay is booby trapped and the areas you drive your boat normally may have a well disguised bouy that is prop hungry.

I wasnt sure if that was herbie because his location says washington twp?? But thanx for the input ... what do they do with oyster crackers??
Drew , we had one hell of a Fri nite, Sat and Sun, defintely one of the best Early Nov bites I have ever had. My son and I banged em on Sat on the clam and managed a 34 lb in the mix.. Sunday i got away from the crowds and had fish for 4 hours solid and finished up at 130PM biggest at 22lbs. Going out around 500pm tonight to drift the usual spots.

I know.. I hesitant to leave in the early AM now. I always leave the dock in the dark and even tonight I will be heading out at 500PM and fish till 800 or 900 and hope they dont sneak some in while I am fishing down by the inlet... I ran home the other nite and ran with my spot lite on when I went between the 2 islands over by morrisons

nah im not herbie im dave my boat is out of cape may. I have a oyster cracker boat next to me and they send a line of 50 traps together with only one float. Oyster crackers are good to eat in some countries.
