Fished one bridge in AC area, wasn't too rough but the way the wind was blowing in relation to the tide made it tough to position the Hobie, somehow it made the rudder pretty much useless. Hung out there about an hour and left without a bite. Found some nicer conditions a little south where I really wasn't expecting it but stopped to check it out since it wasn't far out of the way. 5 minutes in got one that I think was 28 but using the tape mark on my rod while sitting in a kayak it was too close so he lives to swim another day. another 5 minutes a 29", 5 minutes after that a 32". Little while later got a rat then nothing for 45 minutes.

NICE Catchin'

Keep the reports coming.

where do you guys put your catch if you get a keeper on the yak? Tog I put on a stringer, but I dunno if I would risk it with a striper.

I use a Fishbag made by Native Watercraft for a Yak.......clip it on over the back-well.

Thanks. It's going to be a tough Winter. I'm finishing up two months of chemo, then I'll do two months of chemo with radiation, then I'll have to have rectal surgery then liver surgery. But the important thing is that I'm staying positive and active. In fact I'm going on a striper chunking trip this Saturday with some guys from work.

See ya guys in the Spring.

Hang in there Al. You'll be out there this spring.

For keepers, didn't like putting the fish in a bag and hanging them over the side. The fish gets turned sideways and if you're in current it drags you all over the place......I just throw them in the tankwell and run a bungee through the gill and out the mouth. Tried stringers for stripers but the hooks I've tried are just too small and the fish opens them up.

How much do the bags go for and where do you get them from?

SWS if you're talking about a mesh bag to hang the fish over, you can use laundry bags.......got mine at the dollar store. Might not last too long but a dollar a season isn't bad.

There's also the insulated cooler type bags that are made for yaks. They'll run $40-$150 at any place that sells yak stuff.
