I launch at the free ramp also. It is pretty run down and not maintained at all. Go at high tide in there and you should be fine.
The length is an issue with the cul de sac. I can just barely get my rig around it and then it takes a few bites to get it right. I haven't had any issues with the water depth though. It looks like i am going to be in at least a week later than I thought. I went to the boat yard yesterday to look at the repower and learned that my counter rotating motor is back ordered. ![]() I hope to be in by April 16th now. |

the ramp at SH was chained ...so we went to bay ave and it was plenty deep. I had no problem getting the trailer around the bend and backing it in, and there was plenty of water. one of the few times having a roller trailer is handy- no need to submerge the trailer the whole way. I will be using bay ave from now on, its too easy to not use.
i'm in the slip now, finishing up the odds and ends i wanted to do but never could get up to keansburg to finish. just finished installing a stereo (old one was decrepit and didnt work) and new speakers around the boat, next up is finishing the pilothouse dome like rewire and want to rewire the bilge pump to an alarm... thank god my cabin has a door -its a mess, tools and gear everywhere, will clean it out when im done with my projects. the cabin looks like pikers live there...ha! my slip is a bit challenging to get into on a southwest wind... itll take me a bit to get used to |

I have a real challenge on a northwest wind. When it blows down the creek it pushes my bow all around as I'm backing in. Thankfully I have a double wide! I have to get a copy of my lease so I can put in next week. I need to call the dockmaster. How many boats are in now?
